HOW TO USE

Before putting on your mask, clean your face well. We suggest you swab your face with cotton imbibed with rosewater, cool chamomile, green tea or rooibos tea, or even starchy organic rice water.

In a ceramic, wooden or plastic container combine one to two teaspoons of powder with half to one teaspoons of apple cider vinegar (with the ‘mother’), rosewater, or the same teas you used to wash your face, or water until it forms a paste like consistency. Ratio of powder to liquid should be 2:1.

Mix until well combined, remembering to not use any metal utensils.

Apply to face using a clean brush taking care to avoid eye area.

Leave 5-10 minutes until you feel your face tightening, but the clay is still wet on top.

Rinse with warm water and a washcloth.

Follow with Rizvan Spring Blossom Toner/Mist and Rizvan Glow Day or Night Crème.

*Pro Tip 1: Whenever you work with clay, use only plastic/wooden/ceramic utensils. Clay should not come in contact with metal

*Pro Tip 2: Unsure when to rinse off? Do the touch test! If the mixture has gone lighter in colour, it means that it has started to dry. Once it has started to lighten in colour, touch it and if it feels a little sticky, that’s when you know it’s time to wash it off. Don’t let it dry completely.

*Pro Tip 3: Using Apple Cider Vinegar can help balance your skin's pH levels. By reducing pH levels of the skin it can help dry up acne spots and remove dead skin cells.

Use two to three times per week.

*For external use only. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before commencing use of any product containing essential oils. We recommend testing a small area on your skin first, and in the unlikely event of irritation, discontinue use and see a health care professional.

Good for oily and acne prone skin

This mask was easy to use. I mixed it with rosewater to form a paste like consistency and then applied it to my face. The only thing I would say is that it has a strong smell due to one of the natural ingredients but apart from that, it really helped my skin. After use, I noticed my skin was much clearer, it had unclogged my pores and my skin was significantly less oily. If used consistently, this face mask will do wonders to your skin.

It will cause the clay to lose its negative charge. The metal reacts with the clay reducing most of its healing properties.

After using a clay mask, it is crucial to moisturize. All clay masks have the potential of absorbing oil from your skin, cleanse clogged pores, and fight against acne and blemishes. Sometimes, the results can often lead to stripping essential oils from your skin, so re-hydrating with moisturizer can fix that problem.
